Exhibition: The Challenges We Face: Civil Rights Photography at The Snite Museum, August 27th - September 22nd

As part of campus-wide celebrations commemorating the50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s visit to Notre Dame, the Snite Museum is displaying five photographs from the civil rights era.  These photographs, taken by Charles Moore and Matt Herron, capture significant moments in the civil rights movement, including Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1958 arrest in Montgomery, 1963 demonstrations in Birmingham, and the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery. This exhibition is on view from August 27th thru September 22nd at the Snite Museum of Art on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
