Pulitzer Prize winning author and public speaker Taylor Branch is best known for his landmark trilogy on the civil rights era, America in the King Years. He has returned to civil rights history in his latest book, The King Years: Historic Moments in the Civil Rights Movement (2013).
To commemorate the 50th year of Martin Luther King, Jr's visit to South Bend, in October of 1963, we invite you to join us for a community luncheon at the Charles Martin Youth Center, 802 Lincolnway West. Mr. Branch will present the keynote address at this luncheon.
