Sickle Cell Anemia Conference at Bethel College

About the Conference:

Sickle Cell disease is a huge threat to ethnic populations all over the world. Because of this, Bethel College has partnered with Beacon Health Systems (aka Memorial Hospital) for the second year in a row to host their anual Sickle Cell Conference. Come join health educators from around the state and southern Michigan as they engage in a conversation about SIckle Cell disease. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Wanda-Whitten Shurney. Health care professionals and students interested in health related fields are highly encouraged to come. Registration can be completed at check-in. 

About the Speaker:


Wanda Whitten-Shurney, MD recieved her MD from Howard University in 1983. She has completed both residency and fellowship work in Pidiatrics and her clinical and research intrests revolve around Sickle Cell DIsease.
