MLK Lecture Series presents TED Speaker and Broadway and Television Actor Charles Holt!


Charles Holt is a gifted Broadway actor and dynamic inspirational speaker who shares his message of healing, empowerment, and freedom with audiences around the world. He has starred in some of the most celebrated and spectacular shows in American Theatre history such as Smokey Joe’s Café, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Lion King. He received national acclaim and rave reviews for his multiple character portrayal in one-man stage plays, based on the lives of Richard Wright and WEB Du Bois. He along with fellow actor, Gerald C. Rivers, is currently touring Martin & Music, a ground breaking theatrical production on the life of Dr. King, the Civil Rights Movement, and the musical ties that served as the binding power that propelled the movement forward. Charles adds guest-starring roles in television and film to his credit, as well as extensive work as a voice-over artist. He tours universities spiritual centers, and correctional centers. He has addressed many groups and organizations including TEDx, Engaged Diversity Leadership Conference, and NCORE (National Conference on Race and Ethnicity).
